Following a news packed week and one of the big WWE PPV weekends, we decided to go old school and spend the show discussing what we think about the goings on in pro wrestling without a guest. From NXT breakouts to NWA resignations, we cover as much as we can in our allotted 60 minute time limit.

For anyone who has been listening to ChZuck and myself for any length of time, it should be no surprise to hear me state bluntly that we're not afraid to experiment with the boundaries of the One Fall Show. We'll try something new for a week or two, see how it feels in terms of the vibe of the show, and begin to integrate the thing if we dig it.
We've been inviting people onto the show with some regularity over the last few months. I've been digging it a lot, and I know Chzuck likes it too, although I think he'd rightly appreciate it if I RAMBLED a little less. This week I got a little bolder than normal and brought on musician and visual artist Carmel Liburdi, someone who I admire as a friend and artist, because she's releasing her FIFTH full length record soon and I really wanted to catch up with her and pick her brain on process and focus and a little bit on life. The episode may, in fact, be a little light on wrestling, but the conversation was so much fun to do that we want to see if you can relate to any of this artistic jive as it applies the art of Pro Wrestling, or practices of any kind in your own life.
Apologies if my indulgence here isn't what you were hoping for. As I said, we'll push the boundaries a bit and see how it feels. We'll always keep coming back to the core of good ol' professional rasslin and less honorable carnie magic than Carmel Liburdi brings to the seance, but between you and me, if you don't vibe with Carmel Liburdi, there may be something wrong with YOU.

Joseph Sciamana lived at Wrestlepalace for a while, before any of the current projects we're working on were anything more than hypothetical banter, so he has a unique view of what it is that's going on around here. He's also a big fan of professional wrestling as well as a raconteur with a unique perspective on things. It was great to have him on for the first time in this run of the One Fall Show, hopefully...it won't be his last.

After experience our lowest rating EVER, we decided to bring in one of our longest suffering listeners to help us get back on track. A great time was had by Mr. Bean and myself as she shared her history of wrestling fandom incuding her time around OVW, her fandom of Effy, and some history of gender identity as it applies to the industry over it's long, sordid history. Erica asked us what she needed to prep for going into the show, and despite the fact that we left her hanging, she showed up strong and we had a great time talking with her. Mr Bean and I always seem to fall behind on the doings at NJPW (despite the world class work they're constantly doing) and I'm sure we'll have her back so we can start to cover New Japan more evenly throughout the year.

In episode 3 with The Champ, Mr Bean and I were on about how incredible the cinematography was at Riptide Wrestling, a promotion that was new to us at the time. This week, when they released a recent match featuring PAC, I immediately thought to bring back our guest ACRONYM from episode 1 so that she could help break down what it is they're doing to make their presentation so cool. It proved to be an excellent decision, because with her expertise as a photographer and video editor, she was able to point to several likely things going with their production, and the match which introduced all three of us to the work of Cara Noir provided plenty of in ring action to talk about.
